Artist
Sigvart Dagsland with Lou Soloff, Snowy White and Iver Kleive
When Stavanger-born Sigvart Dagsland launched Hymns as part of Trondheim’s St Olav Festival in August 2009, he was joined by a star-studded cast of musicians, notably British blues guitarist Snowy White, previously of Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd and Roger Waters, legendary trumpeter Lou Soloff from Blood, Sweat & Tears and keyboard wizard Iver Kleive on organ, piano and Hammond organ. MaiJazz now offers the Stavanger audience a chance to experience this unique project in the beautiful ambience of St Petri church.
“His [Dagsland’s] empathy, understanding and sincerity leaves no doubt that he is on home turf here” (Svein Andersen, Aftenposten). We are delighted to present him as part of MaiJazz - a vocalist, songwriter and lyricist that has moved and impressed audiences for over 25 years.
Line-up: Sigvart Dagsland - vocals, Lew Soloff - trumpet, Snowy White - guitar, Iver Kleive - keyboards
