Snøfrid Hunsbedt Eiene - MaiJazzkunstner 2010

Both MaiJazz and Kunstgalleriet wish to promote and give exposure to local artists and painters, and Snøfrid Hunsbedt Eiene's works formed part of MaiJazz's 20^th anniversary celebrations in 2008. Eiene will present paintings with an abstract slant, works that contain inspiration from jazz's many forms and sounds. "I wanted to try and make the exhibition play on rhythm in the form of light and dark contrasts", she says. The opening will be embellished with the dexterity of Øyvind Dale, a young piano talent from the jazz studies course at The University of Stavanger's department of music and dance
